JORDI DAUDER
BIOGRAPHY
He was born in Badalona and he is the son of a playwright. Jordi Dauder began to incline for the world of the interpretation from very early age. He graduated in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and in Contemporary History for the University of Paris, where he had to go into exile for political issues. He remained there for 15 years and was in Paris where he began his theatre career. For his return for Spain he opened a bookshop in Badalona and there initiated the coordination of the literary magazine Quimera. Actually, his career as actor did not begin up to the decade of the eighties. In theatre he has interpreted the authors' works as Samuel Beckett, Chéjov or Shakespeare and has been worked to theatrical directors of the height of Gerardo Vera, Sergi Belbel or Calixto Bieito. In television he reached the popularity for his character in the series Nissaga de poder (1996-1998) together with Emma Vilarasau. In the cinema he has turned into the secondary one of luxury, thanks to his participation in movies as El puente de Varsovia (1990) of Pere Portabella, La marcha verde (2002) of Jose Luis García Sanchez, as well as into most of Ventura Pons's works. In 2008, thanks to his interpretation in Camino (2008) of Javier Fesser he managed to rise with the prize to the Best Supporting Actor. In addition, he is the director of dubbing, writer and poet and co-founder of the magazine El Viejo Topo.
