JUAN MARGALLO
BIOGRAPHY
He was born in Cáceres in 1940. He took part in the foundation of theatrical independent groups as Tábano and El Gayo Vallecano. Later, in 1985, he created his own company, Uroc Teatro. He has taken part in spectacles as El zapato de raso) (1965), El verano (1968), Castañuela 70 (1970), Perdona a tu pueblo (1982), La mujer burbuja (1988), Clasycos (1998), Pareja abierta (2001) and El señor Ibrahim y las flores del Corán (2004).
As for his interventions in the cinema, Margallo appears in movies as Los flamencos (1966), El espíritu de la colmena (1973), El aire de un crimen (1988), Chevrolet (1997), El invierno de las Anjanas (2000) and Al sur de Granada (2002).
He directed along six editions the Latin-American Festival of Cadiz. He is married with the actress Petra Martínez (1944). The daughter of both, Olga Margallo (1970), also devotes herself to the interpretation and theatrical.
