SYNOPSIS



Parza Teg
Parza Teg in the language of the Yagute Ewenke tribe of central Asia means Homeland. Female artist Najiya, after graduating from Fine Art school, Najiya has found a job in an Arts Publishing House, whilst also dedicatedly working on her exclusive creative obsession – painting works representing the totem of her own people – the Sacred Deer – and gradually becoming a young recognized artist. But, instead of enjoying the benefits of her triumph, she finds the excited atmosphere of success only exacerbates her sense of loneliness and yearning for her Homeland. Finally she ignores her friends? attempts to dissuade her and her lover?s entreaties, and resigns from her job in the city, to return to the distant mountain of Xing An Ling. But unexpectedly at this time, her people have herded the reindeer out of the forest and moved to the city to live. In the empty forest, she cannot find anything, even herself...

BIOGRAPHY
Cai Ming was born in 1963 in Mongolia. He graduated in Acting from the Shanghai Drama Academy and went on to perform in a number of stage plays, films and TV shows. He received the Plum Blossom Award, China's top dramatic prize for theater. In 1998 Cai graduated in directing from the Beijing Film Academy. Season of the Horse is his feature début as a director.
