SYNOPSIS

Paresh (Prosenjit) works for the Indian government, showing public health films in remote areas of Bengal. Despite the social value of his job, he endures little other than suspicion and rejection from the people he attempts to help. His driver, Chapal (Rajesh Sharma), likewise idealizes a better future for himself in Dubai, where he can be more prosperous. Both their plans are disrupted, not only by a broken projector, but by the presence of Ameena (Rimi Sen), a pregnant widow who is desperate to return to her homeland.
